the wishing tree, where we had to toss a red rectangular cloth with a coin-like weight at one end, up on the branches. mine's written with ‘心想事成', success to whatever the heart seeks. up on the 2nd attempt. if the 5RMB works miracles, i'll toss 10 next time.
the fireworks and firecrackers have been unceasing since 4 hours back, from puxi all the way to pudong. it's as though they are simulating crisis conditions to prepare us for bombings that seem almost inevitable.
i've never thought of fireworks/crackers as uninteresting, until now.

Will my antivirus (that is set to run automatically), run even if my computer is shutted down or off. I was just wondering because I set it to run at 5:00am weekly, full scan, but I not awake at that time, and my computer is not on, so is it gonna scan for viruses even though..?
